Week One Writing Homework

Good Evening B2 Families!

I am enjoying a relaxing Saturday evening watching some football (go Ducks!) and reading the homework writing journals. They are awesome! It sounds like everyone had a fun week. I read about pets, family members, visiting friends at the park, going to Bauman Farms, fun times with grandma, books you are reading and so much more! These are PERFECT things to write about for your writing homework.

Parents, I hope this is an enjoyable homework assignment for you and your child. My goal is that students will get used to writing about their day to day activities. A goal we have been working on in class is writing 3 sentences on one topic. So many of your kids did just this in their writing homework. Way to go!

Yesterday in the large amount of papers that came home, there was a new orange writing journal for the week. Please find time to write during the week. I am not looking for perfection in writing, but rather effort in getting ideas down on paper. Another thing we are working on in class is writing lowercase letters and that we only need to capitalize certain letters (the beginning of a sentence, a name, etc).

Please let me know if you have questions about this homework!

Take Care,
Mrs. W
